Clubfoot Treatment

PCDF is dedicated to transforming lives through its Clubfoot Treatment Program in Niger, Kwara, and Kaduna. With support from MiracleFeet, we provide free, high-quality treatment to children born with clubfoot, ensuring they can walk, run, and thrive without disability. Our program focuses on early detection, non-surgical correction, and continuous support for families. By raising awareness and improving access to care, we help children achieve their full potential. Through expert treatment and compassionate care, we are building a future where every child in Nigeria has the opportunity for a healthy, active life—one step at a time

HIV Counselling and Testing

Cross River. Imo. FCT.

We provide HIV Testing Services (HTS) across Cross River, Imo, and FCT, ensuring individuals know their status and access timely care. We offer Enhanced Adherence Counseling (EAC) to support treatment success, alongside Sexual Network Testing (SNT) to improve case finding. Our Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) efforts protect infants, while we focus on continuity on treatment and retention in care. Through referrals and linkages, we connect clients to essential services. Our outreaches, sensitizations, and trainings promote HIV stigma and discrimination reduction, empowering communities with knowledge and support for a healthier future.

Malaria Prevention

Cross River. Akwa Ibom. FCT.

PCDF is actively combating malaria in Cross River, Akwa Ibom, and the FCT through a comprehensive prevention and treatment program. Our efforts include community outreaches, sensitization campaigns, and hotspot mapping to identify high-risk areas. We provide malaria counseling, testing, and referrals to ensure timely treatment. Additionally, we distribute Long-Lasting Insecticide-Treated Nets (LLINs) to vulnerable populations, promoting prevention at the household level. Through advocacy, courtesy visits, and capacity-building trainings, we engage stakeholders to strengthen malaria response efforts. Our goal is to reduce malaria prevalence, improve health outcomes, and create malaria-free communities.

Tuberculosis Prevention

Cross River. Imo. FCT.

PCDF is committed to Tuberculosis (TB) prevention and treatment across Cross River, Imo, and FCT. Through case notification, TB screening, and facilitation of treatment initiation, we ensure early diagnosis and prompt care. Our referral and linkage system connects patients to life-saving services, while community-based treatment, care, and support enhance recovery. We engage in community mobilization, adherence support, and home-based/palliative care to improve treatment outcomes. By fostering stakeholders’ partnerships and advocacy activities, we strengthen the TB response, reduce stigma, and promote awareness—ensuring no one is left behind in the fight against tuberculosis.

Orphans and Vulnerable Children

We support Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) in Cross River and FCT, ensuring their well-being and future stability. We provide psycho-social counseling support, healthcare services, and protection/legal support to safeguard their rights. Through household health insurance coverage, we improve access to medical care, while adolescent HIV prevention and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) education empower young people. Our life-skill support and educational services help children build brighter futures. We also facilitate birth registration for identity protection and offer referral services to connect families with essential resources. Together, we create a safer, healthier future for OVC.

Nutrition and Household Economic Strengthening

Cross River. FCT.

Positive Care and Development Foundation is strengthening nutrition and household economic stability in Cross River and FCT through targeted interventions. We promote Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) services, growth monitoring, and distribution of fortified food packages to combat malnutrition. Our food demonstration sessions and homestead gardening initiatives with improved seedling distribution enhance food security. To boost economic resilience, we support savings groups (SILC, VSLA), financial literacy education, and cash transfer schemes. Additionally, we provide access to vocational skills, startup grants/kits, and trainings, empowering families with sustainable livelihoods for long-term self-sufficiency and improved well-being.

Community Systems Strengthening

Cross River. FCT.

PCDF strengthens community systems in Cross River and FCT by fostering inclusive participation and local ownership. Through community dialogue sessions and focus group discussions, we address pressing issues and build collective solutions. We support the formation and reactivation of Community Improvement Teams and Ward Development Committees, enhancing grassroots governance. Our support groups development, stakeholder engagement, and resource mobilization ensure sustainable impact. We conduct community mapping, trainings, advocacies, and supportive supervision to empower communities with the skills and structures needed for long-term resilience and improved service delivery. Together, we drive meaningful and lasting change.

Governance and Election Monitoring

Positive Care and Development Foundation promotes good governance and election monitoring in Cross River, Imo, and FCT to ensure transparent and peaceful electoral processes. We conduct campaigns on peace and conflict resolution, emphasizing non-violence and dialogue. Our efforts focus on voter rights education, raising awareness of INEC regulations, political parties, and voter responsibilities. We collaborate with stakeholders to enhance security and peacekeeping before, during, and after elections. By fostering civic engagement and accountability, we empower citizens to participate in democracy responsibly, ensuring fair elections and a stable political environment.

Gender Inclusion

Cross River. FCT.

Positive Care and Development Foundation promotes gender inclusion in Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Imo, and FCT by addressing inequalities and supporting vulnerable groups. We provide psycho-social counseling support services and facilitate gender norm sessions to challenge harmful stereotypes. Through peer education sessions and GBV sensitization/case finding, we empower individuals with knowledge and resources. Our post-GBV care services ensure survivors receive medical, legal, and emotional support. We lead campaigns on harmful gender norms, community sensitization on sexual and GBV issues, and trainings to drive change. With referral services and special events, we foster a more inclusive and equitable society.

Monitoring and Evaluation

Positive Care and Development Foundation ensures effective Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) in Cross River, Imo, and FCT to enhance program performance and accountability. We conduct routine data collection, data management, and case folder audits for accuracy and reliability. Our onsite/supportive supervision and data quality assurance processes strengthen service delivery. Through strategic information management, review meetings, and operational research, we generate insights for informed decision-making. We assess program success through impact evaluation and continuously build capacity with trainings. By maintaining high standards in M&E, we drive data-driven interventions for sustainable community development.

HIV Prevention

Positive Care and Development Foundation advances HIV prevention in Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Imo, and FCT through targeted interventions. We provide trainings to equip individuals with knowledge and skills for HIV risk reduction. Our psycho-social support counseling services offer emotional and mental health support. Through mapping, outreach, awareness, and sensitization, we engage communities in prevention efforts. We establish and promote condom outlets and branding to encourage safe practices. Peer education sessions empower individuals to share accurate information, while our referrals and linkages connect at-risk populations to essential healthcare services. Disability

Positive Care and Development Foundation promotes disability inclusion and empowerment in Cross River, Imo, FCT, Niger, and Kwara, ensuring equal opportunities for persons with disabilities. We provide psycho-social support, advocacy, and awareness campaigns to reduce stigma and discrimination. Through skills training, economic empowerment programs, and assistive device support, we enhance independence and self-sufficiency. Adolescent and Young People Intervention

Positive Care and Development Foundation empowers adolescents and young people in Cross River, Imo, and FCT through targeted health interventions. We provide HIV prevention and sexual reproductive health services, ensuring access to vital care. Our Operation Triple Zero clubs promote adherence to treatment and positive health outcomes. Through peer education sessions, awareness creation, and advocacy visits, we equip young people with knowledge to make informed choices. We offer HTS (HIV Testing Services), counseling, and testing, alongside escort services to ensure seamless access to healthcare. Our holistic approach fosters a healthier, informed, and empowered generation.

Rural Development

Positive Care and Development Foundation promotes rural development in Cross River, Imo, and FCT by enhancing infrastructure, community engagement, and local empowerment. Through advocacy and courtesy visits, we foster collaboration with key stakeholders to drive sustainable change. Our community mobilization and sensitization efforts raise awareness and encourage active participation in development initiatives. We facilitate focus group discussions and town hall meetings to identify community needs and co-create solutions. Additionally, we support the construction of rural facilities, improving access to essential services and enhancing the quality of life for underserved populations.
