Call for Volunteers and Registered Sub-CBOs/NGOs

Positive Care and Development Foundation is seeking volunteers and registered Sub-CBOs (Community-Based Organizations/Non-Governmental Organizations) to collaborate on the implementation of a Clubfoot Intervention Program in Niger State (Gawu, Lapai, and Kontagora LGAs), as well as in Kwara, Kaduna, and Kebbi States.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Registered as a CBO or NGO in the state of operation
  • Access to an Android smartphone
  • Dedicated community caseworker or adhoc staff based at the LGA level, capable of communicating in the local language
  • Capacity for community mobilization, outreach, and engagement
  • Experience working with PHCs (Primary Health Care facilities) during MNCH Week for Clubfoot services
  • Ability to engage civil society and religious groups for Clubfoot case enrollment
  • Commitment to safeguarding principles

Performance Requirements:

1. Identify a minimum of 10 Clubfoot cases per month

2. Refer identified cases to designated Clubfoot clinics

3. Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports punctually

4. Participate in weekly performance review meetings and clinic reporting sessions

5. Conduct home visits to:

  • Identify and refer new cases
  • Follow up with defaulters and return them to care
  • Provide counseling and family support
  • Monitor treatment adherence and progress
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs)

6. Track KPIs after each clinic visit, including: Number of patients treated

  • Treatment outcomes (successful corrections, complications)
  • Patient satisfaction
  • Timeliness of treatment and follow-up

How to Apply:

1. Submit the following:

  • Registration documents
  • Safeguarding and other relevant policy documents
  • A Clubfoot strategy and implementation plan detailing how you will leverage social, civil society, and clinical networks (e.g., pediatricians, physiotherapists, orthotists, orthopedists)
  • Evidence of community engagement and mobilization
  • Social media engagement (optional but advantageous)
